Rooks N’ Reindeer Chess Tournament

Join us in Jackson for the Mississippi Children’s Museum’s Rooks n’ Reindeer Chess Tournament on Friday, December 19th!

All Divisions are Unrated:

• K-2
• K-4
• K-6
• K-12

Online registration open until 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 18th.

Registration Fees: 

• $15 Entry Fee for Tournament Participants (For both MCM Members & Non-Members)
• $8 for Each Accompanying Adult/Child (Free for MCM Members)
• All fees will increase by $5 for day-of participants
• Please Note: Only cash will be accepted for walk-ins*
• All entry fees include access to all museum exhibits during the event only

Pre-registration is recommended & appreciated. Check-in and on-site registration will be available from 5:00pm – 5:30pm. Walk-ins are welcome! Please note that seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we highly recommend pre-registering.

Rounds:

• First Round starts at 5:30pm
• Everyone will play 4 rounds, G/10+3. No eliminations.
• Chess sets (board/pieces/clocks) will be provided for use during the tournament.
• Awards will go to the top 3 players in each division at 7:30pm
